Open Futures Fund

We believe that where you start in life shouldn’t limit where you go. That anyone, everywhere, should have the opportunity to transform their lives through learning.

The Open Futures Fund sits at the heart of the OU’s mission to make higher education accessible to all, championing equity and inclusion and will offer at least 88 fully funded degree places for the next academic year 2024/2025.

Since 2018, the Fund has awarded more than 570 scholarships, thanks to the kindness and generosity of the OU family.

The Fund includes:

•    Disabled Veterans’ Scholarships – for veterans disabled during or due to service

•    Carers Scholarships – which offer carers the opportunity to study for free

•    Black Student Support – specifically designed to provide support for Black students to reduce inequalities in Higher Education

•    Sanctuary Scholarships – for people arriving in the UK seeking refuge from threats to their lives

•    Care Experienced Scholarships – for people aged 25 and under who have experience of being in care

Our students tell us what a difference quality education makes to their lives but far too many people are excluded from that life-changing experience. Your support will provide even more scholarships and bursaries that will change so many more lives, just like it has for over 5 hundreds of students, their families, and communities already.

Please make your gift today to the Open Futures Fund to help keep education open to all. Thank you!
